My name is Jonathan Owens, I am a senior at Waverly High School and I have been a member at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church since I was a child. Since being at Pilgrim Rest, I have been active in many ministries including Mime-N-Motion. I was very excited about joining Mime-N-Motion when I first saw Kiani, her sister Ivanna and cousin Danielle present it back in 2007. I am proud to be a member of this ministry because it shows how we praise God in the dance like David did in 2 Samuel 6:14, except we strive to keep our clothes on. I am extremely honored to be the first recipient of the Kiani Rodgers Scholarship and I know my friend Kiani is just as proud of me. Mime-N-Motion has become more than just a ministry; it has helped me grow as a person. I am proud to be an example of a young man who is unashamed of giving honor and praise to God. 

After I graduate from high school, I plan to study Pre-Med at Clark Atlanta University and graduate from med-school ready to serve as a pediatrician.
