Takiya Crawford

2015 KRSF Recipient

Western Michigan University, Criminal Justice Major

I am the daughter of DuVaughn and Michelle Lowden. I am a graduate of Everett High School. I plan to study Criminal Justice, at Western Michigan University. I chose Criminal Justice, because ever since I was little, I wanted to be a family attorney. I no longer want to study family affairs but I want to work with young people, and reach as far as the FBI. I feel God placed this field of study in my heart so that I can change lives of many people in different areas.

I joined Mimi in 2013 with the intentions of becoming a better dancer and to give my talent to God.  Unknowingly, I was exposed to a second family and much love.  In the two years, I can truly say that I’ve developed not only as a dancer, but as a person.  I graduated student from Everett High School.  I plan to study Criminal Justice, at Western Michigan University.
